Hey,,,,,,,,,,, am I the only one who wonders if Jzx D#kx used peanut butter
in her DC center. If she did, I hope she posted a list of the risks
associated with it, and had a full discussion with each parent. But, it is
possible she never allowed peanut products in the DC center.
Of course today most schools are very aware of peanuts and allergies, and
restrict its use. We get warnings on this whenever there is opportunity to
bring classroom snacks. Also, since they only have 120 students, Junior's
school can know each student and his/her needs very well.
The first paragraph is meant to be a comparison of similar concerns through
different eyes, not as any effort to insult anyone who frequents this NG.
Speaking of allergies, an ex-employee of mine. She worked for me over ten
years ago. Has developed severe latex allergy. She cannot be on carpeting,
be in a room with balloons, wear anything with elastic, contact pencil
erasers, etc. Her lifestyle is severely impacted by this. Not any fun at
all.

Good post, Dr. Steve. Sorry to read about your former employee's
trouble. That's a tough one; poor thing. :-(

You may recommend to her to speak to her rheumatologist about oral
cyclosporine or remicade infusions. I've a variety of immune-mediated
illnesses (bronchitis, chronic rhinosinusitis, colitis, spinalitis, asthma),
and the cyclosporine given to me for the colitis has suppressed all of the
others as well.
It may be of some use to her.

Awww sweet cakes, it is apparent you know nothing of daycare centers.
So, once *again*. I will educate you. Each child has a thorough medcial record
signed by their doc in the directors file. In addition, if there are any
allergies, they are posted in the kitchen for the cook.
Furthermore these files are updated each time the child goes to the doctor. The
director is also responsibile for making sure each child has had their
vaccinations. If they fail to do that, their license is not renewed.
You have absolutely no idea of the many many regs from the health department,
some most are essential, some just down right ridiculous.
Any other questions?
A pity, you can''t answer mine and refuse to discuss.
Do you have the risks of amalgams posted in your office?
