Jan did not have mercury poisoning from amalgams. And Jan knows it.
While I believe that Jan originally thought she had mercury poisoning,
now she realizes she did not. Here is the proof in her own words:
>>>Subject: Mercury Levels Highest After Amalgam Removal
>>>From: Mark Thorson nospam@sonic.net
[quoted text clipped - 6 lines]
>>
>>Tell us something we didn't already know.
Well if Jan knows that mercury levels increase after removal of
amalgams and don't decline to pre-operative levels for a month how
does she explain the following.
>On June 17-18, 1999 Jan Drew had eight amalgams removed. Jan said that
>just before the removal of amalgams that she was bedridden.
[quoted text clipped - 17 lines]
>>THANK GOD, my feet didn't hurt! I
>>felt alive again. What a blessing!
The removal of eight amalgams should have made a difference. But the
difference it would have made would be making Jan feel WORSE a week
later when the mercury would be flooding into her system. But instead
of making her feel worse she went from bedfast to line dancing.
>>How do I know it was the metal? Because my mercury level was monitored by my
>>MD, it was only AFTER the metal was removed that it started dropping and I
>>started to regain my health.
>Jan
>http://tinyurl.com/6n3ax
Let's see. Jan felt better than she had in two years BEFORE her
mercury level dropped. Jan went from bedridden to line dancing with no
more foot pain (soon to return since placebo responses are short
lived) a week after eight amalgams were removed when even according to
Jan Drew, her mercury level was higher than before she had the
amalgams out.

LOL!! Jan thinks that cut and pasting means that she "really
understands the scientific method".
If Jan was a normal person I would ask her to describe the scientific
method and how to evaluate whether a study is valid. She is not so I
won't.
Jan Drew's idea of a valid study is one that reinforces her
pre-existing ideas and agenda. Jan's idea of an invalid study is one
that disagrees with her pre-existing ideas and agenda in which she
usually uses the evil organized dentistry to justify her rejection of
the study. Scientific objectivity at its finest:-)))

is to click on your link only to find an empty post. I understand that
you are responding to Jan's posts with nothing but it really serves no
*useful* purpose. I realize that it only takes a second to see that

If you really want to ignore Jan Drew then just ignore her. All you

I think your weekly post needs a little cleaning up. It would be nice to
address all the points but leave it so nothing in it can be rebutted or

In my own way, that's what I've done. There is no denying the toxicity
of Mercury, just as there is no way of proving that it is not. I feel it
is pointless to argue on those grounds. I have posted a couple of
rebuttals dealing more with the unrealistic wishes of these people on
medical/legal and quality of treatment grounds: I cannot decide to place
compomers or other fillings in kids' mouths and then charge the RAMQ the
Am tarrif. That would be fraud. Similarly, placing a composite in a wet
and bloody field where I'm sure that restoration will fail is also being
unprofessional, to say the least, in that one cannot truthfully say that
restoration will last and be of real service to the patient. There is no
ideal restoration, and some are better than others, but until an
amalgam-like compound is developed that has these desired properties and
is accepted by my government's dental insurance program( for children
and welfare cases), I must continue to use Am where I have no other
choice. That is the bottom line, unless these anti-Am-ites are able to
do something about that, other than talk.
Cheers
