I have an orang-ish tongue lately. Does anyone know what could be
causing this? Is this keratinization? And if it is, what does that
mean?

What are you doing with your tongue ?

Brush it and most color will go away.

Nothing out of the ordinary. I don't really eat junk food with
artificial coloring like that. I do brush my tongue, and it does not
seem to go away. Does it imply a deficit of a certain vitamin? I read
somewhere on the net that it was vitamin A deficiency, but I don't
know. Also,  I've noticed that ever since I've been nursing my daughter
( for about 3 months now),  my eyes would start to strain when I nursed
her, it felt kind of like "tired eyes" when you don't get enough sleep,
but different. Closing them tight and opening them up again made them
feel better. Then, just recently, I noticed my tongue was orange. Do
the eyes need vitamin A to stay healthy? Does the tongue turn orange
from vit. A deficiency?

p.s. BTW, my OLP has almost disappeared since I got my broken amalgam
removed. Coincidence? I think not!

If it's a vitamine deficiency, a good multivitamin should help. I still
tend to think it's something you're eating. If there's bleeding in your
mouth, this could also cause it. Show it to your doctor or dentist. If
you can post a picture, that would be the best.
Cheers

Weezie,

Yes, the eyes need Vitamin A, the daily recommendation being sufficient and not
much more to be taken, as it can be harmful.
Foods of Vitamin A, are sweet potatoes, sweet corn (best on the cob), carrotts
w/ skin, apricots.

Omg now way!! I have an orange-ish tongue too. It is bugging me I have had it
for over 3 weeks now. My parents think that it might be from drinking this
drink called: Vitamin Water. It's sooo good. I really like it. On each bottle
it shows wwhat different vitamins it has in it. I also agree with my parents
it might be because of that, but if somebody else has an orange tongue and
doesn't drink vitamin water, well then we have a problem don't we? Ha. I
really need help I'm not sure what the causes of this ornage tongue is.
Please help me!! Responses are needed!! :\
