Spotted on a dental website: "Dr X uses another gel developed in
Sweden, which can help regrow back gum and boney tissue previously
lost to gum disease. The gel is called EMDOGAIN and its use can help
to maintain teeth in the mouth which have been compromised by gum
disease."
Can Emdogain save teeth which would otherwise be lost?

nope.We used emdogain for long time and its make better rsult to mix bone"s
substistuts and for exemple emdogain.Using only emdogain you will have no
rsults. You must first to prepare (currettage etc) and to add emdogain but If
you make only proper curretage and others kind of treatment You will get
also good results

Goodd question: This is completely new on me. I'll try to find out.
Hopefully, you'll get an opinion from one who does some periodontal
surgery with the stuff. Did you Google Groups on it?

The Periodontist in our area uses it. It seems to be best in only special
cases ... like deep, narrow pockets, boney defects. It would not be good
for generalized bone-loss ... once that is gone, it is gone.

in most opinions the results of treatment properly done are the some like
with emdogain I think about curretage.
but emdogain is good to get results faster and its good as a one of
components in bone grafting(I hope its properly called)
This stuff is here from years and isnt very popular :))
