My dentist has suggested that I undergo Advanced Lightwire Functional
orthodontic treatment.  She says it will help open my small mouth and
fix the way my bottom teeth are chipping my top teeth, without having
to extract any teeth.  Also, I can keep wearing the wires at night so
that the teeth don't move back.  I am nearly 60 years old, much to my
shock, and have fibromyalgia.  But I'm very active despite all that!
Thanks for any info, research, or experience you can supply

Ping the Orthodontists!.... you must be patient: we have two regs
(unless I'm very much mistaken) who are Orthos, and a couple of GP's who
do a lot of it as well. Hopefully, you'll get some good feedback.
Myself, I would say that there is nothing stopping you from googling
this term and seeing what pops out.
Good luck

Wait a minute ....... and you are interested in orthodontics? I
thought that was mainly kids and younger people?

Why extract? I missed something here.

to me it looks like Crozat treatment.  an old technique with some value.  you
are 60 yrs old.  are your teeth healthy?  no you mind the way they look.

Here's a link touting ALF
Nothing special about it
Smells of snake oil

Go see an orthodontic specialist before you let a general dentist that has
taken a weekend course try to treat you.
