anything be done?
Someone mentioned to not brush too hard. I use an electric toothbrush
and do not brush any harder in that area then anywhere else. Could it
be related to bruxism?

Yes. See about getting a subepitlelial gingival graft if posssible and
if the lesion is easily covered. Depends on the health of the
interdental spaces.
