Well, finally had the tooth thats been causing me months of trouble
extracted. Took the bloody dentist 1/2 an hour of tugging, yanking, drilling
to get the f**ker out. He told me he had never seen such curly roots.
Needless to say, it took about 15 hours for the bleeding to stop and I
needed a large dose of codeine to get some sleep.
Rant over.

I prefer nice, easy extractions where the patient asks, "It's already
out?!?".  X-rays and history can help make that determination.

If you ever have another extraction, you might want to consider visiting
an oral surgeon.  The combination of root anatomy and bone density can
make some patients' teeth more difficult than average to remove.

Of course it would also be a good idea to check your diet, home care,
restorative needs, and recall regularity to prevent needing another
extraction in the first place (unless this was a wisdom tooth).

Guess you're lucky you went to a dentist.  Some people try those at home
with their own "medication"

OUCH!

I've had a number of teeth extracted, and they always came out easy.
At least, the ones I remember having out went easy. You should
consider getting a new jaw and teeth.

Please understand that stuff happens, and no extraction goes flawless - I
had a lower extracted earlier this year and it took the oral surgeon 45
minutes to get it out.  We're only dentists and do not have super powers.

If God can put it in there, we can "try" to take it out.
