Do I see Dentist or MD first?

If a tooth went untreated and became infected and that infection spread, would
I be best to see an MD first or a Dentist to take care of the source of the
infection?

After not getting a molar removed it has broken the tooth in front of it, and
I'm having problems with the one on the other side of my mouth too. Shortly
after this started happening (months ago), nodes in my neck started enlarging
and I've also got ear infections that will not go away.

I have no insurance (which is why I let this go so long), so I'd rather not go
to an MD if they'll just tell me to go to a Dentist first and then come back.

You need to have the tooth taken out or a root canal treatment.  It is
of course possible you have ear problems, but infected molars will
frequently cause swollen lymph glands.  Have the tooth taken care of,
and if the swollen glands or earache don't resolve within a few days,
then see your MD.

Some MDs do excellent root canal therapy.

Bad for your body, get it treated ASAP

Was is an MD?  Are you sure?  It wasn't a hygienist?  Or a lab tech?

Good one! This is the reference to our friend who was having his
dental assistants perform the root canal treatments on patients.

OUR CONCLUSION:

The guy needs to create a Continuing Education Course. If he can teach
dental assistants how to perform root canals he is g-o-o-o-o-o-o-d.
