One of my patient who live now in the USA (Seattle) get some problems
with two of her crowns.

The dentist she consulted proposed her to change her crowns giving her
two references for those acts :

D275D

DZ964

She mailed me to have an advice, giving me those two codes, the dentist
said to her that those codes are international.

I had never heard of that standardization, is there anybody here that
could explain me those codes and their meanings ?

Thanks in advance, Thierry.

I never came across those codes either...which does not mean they are not
real...it just means they are new to me!

Could they have meant d2750, which is ADA code for porcelain/metal crown and
d2954, which is code for pre-fabricated post and core? You know how bad
dentist's handwriting can be!

Sorry, there is 275D and 275DD, but you do not want to go there!

I am not sure but I do know it comes shortly after d2963.

50 dollar 3 surface gold foils?

265 dollar crowns, both high noble and all porcelain?

I don't see how they even cover the lab fee....

Dental schools are often subsidized by the state education system
if they are a part of it.

DS fees barely cover materials.
