Citizen Drew & Dr Steve's Holistic Dentistry Debate

I thought it might be helpful to focus the Holistic Dentistry debate in one
thread.

I read the Holistic Dental Association's website........ No mention of
amalgam or mercury on it, although no doubt they have a policy.

It seems to me like a list of what any good dentist believes - although that
may reflect my UK roots. Seems quite sensible - no ranters or tree-huggers
in sight.

What is the Holistic Dental Association all about?
Our Philosophy
http://www.holisticdental.org/

We believe that Holistic involves an awareness of dental care as it relates
to the entire person.
We believe that health care practitioners and recipients should be provided
with appropriate information to make informed choices that will enhance
personal health and wellness while feeling loved, accepted, and understood.
We believe that Holistic Dental Association membership provides physical,
emotional, and spiritual support while we expand our awareness and skills.
We believe our educational growth should be nurturing, affordable, and
encompasses basic information, experiential knowledge, and leading edge
ideas.
We believe in openly sharing resources.
We believe in an inter-disciplinary approach to health that facilitates the
individual's innate ability to heal themselves.

This is an interesting philosophy. I'm wonder what exactly do they
mean by 'the entire person'. Would making an NTI for migraine pain be
'the whole person'? Would prescribing an acid reducer or proton pump
inhibitor for GERD be 'the whole person', after all, it could be
harming not only their dental health!? What about a dentist that gives
Botox injections for cosmetic purposes?

But maybe an expert could answer these questions...

OOPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Looking forward to having the REST of the
mercury out??? The dental work was over?? Poor Jan. May God have mercy
on her soul.

When Jan is confronted about the fact that she still had amalgams when
she said she felt better than she had in two years Jan lies saying
that the dental work *was* over. The above proves in Jan's own words
that she lied. She has been confronted about this contradiction but
she refuses to admit the lie and instead creates diversions by falsely
accusing me of lying.

Watch as she either pretends that she is not reading this or starts a
new thread to attack me. Just watch. What will it be?? Nude hiking??
Did not answer Bubba's questions?? Nuked my posts?? Used her dying
parents to belittle her?? Or maybe Jan will come up with some new
diversion.

Aloha,

Rich

I have been reading this thread. I have peripheral neuropathy. I have
found a
dentist (alternative) who knows that mercury amalgams are very
dangerous. They
can cause all manner of things. He will remove them and put in
composities. I
have just had 3/4 of mine remover. The others will come out in a few
weeks,
along with the one root canal, which will be extracted.

If an individual has read on this subject and is knowledgable, he will
take
care of you.

He has written "Tooth Truth and tells it like it is. He tells how the
ADA has
covered up this problem.

So, it is just a matter of finding the right dentist. He has people
flying in
from all over to get the work done.

I believe the mercury is the cause of my problems. I hav felt better
today that
I have in the last 2 years, and am looking forward to getting the rest
of the
mercury out and the root canal pulled.

Jan
