Invisalign - How invisible is it?

For those who have used Invisalign, how invisible is it?  Do people
you talk to everyday realize you have them in, or is it as invisible
as the website makes it seem?

Also, I've seen some prices on here in the $5000 range.  Is that
before or after insurance?

It is invisible. On some patients there is a slight lisp when they
speak.

As far as insurance it varies if you have orthodontic coverage not all
insurance companies pay for invisalign. If you tell them it is
invisalign they might use that as an excuse to deny the claim some may
pay out the maximum for orthodontic coverage. Most insurance does not
have orthodontic coverage for adults over age 21. The fee varies on
the type of treatment diagnosed and from one provider to the next. So
the $5000 you speak of could either be before or after insurance
depending on the doctor you go to. Invisalign fee varies from $4000 to
$7500.

It's said that it is so invisible that if you drop it, you will never find it.

Thanks for the information, it's been very helpful.  I was skeptical
about them truly being invisible, but the reviews so far have been
very positive.  My bottom teeth are very straight, and it's just my
top teeth that I wound need them for.  What would the range be for
just the top?  I'm based in San Francisco, which I'd imagine would be
on the upper end of things.

Couldn't say, myself, but if they really need to wind them up, I think

Just for a laugh

During two years of wearing Invisalign full time, exactly one person
noticed them without my prompting. On the other hand, more than one
person failed to see them even after my prompting.

I am on the 1st set of the aligners. I think mine may be visible
since I even have attachments on front teeth because of the severity.
I am paying around $7500, it is really pricy ......

definetly on the high end where does your orthodontist/invisalignist practice?

In Chicago suburb, and mine is severe, I guess this added more to the price.
