"Things that make ya go 'hmmmmmmmmmmm'".
I had an implant case to splint 3 abutments on 3 fixtures, and the
angulation was similar to the radiograph on the left (they were however
actually placed a safe distance into the bone and had integrated
nicely).  The surgeon apparently was avoiding the mental foramen, though
on the post-op it was nowhere near.  I couldn't place the transfer
copings without cutting them down severely, and then had problems
picking them up.  The case actually worked out OK, with custom abutments.
Any idea how long post-op these were taken?

I guess that means that they were placed VERY recently.

I wouldn't assume that.  Periodontists tend to see their regular
patients very um, regularly.

I think this image was taken by the restorative dentist that was
supposed to do the crown for the implant. The implication was 'the
periodontist gave me implants that I cannot restore'.

Of course, I could be wrong -- IANAD!

Adenosine lurks in more than one forum!

Besides, how do you think I found my new dentist (refering to my
earlier threads)?

Thank you for the kind words.

I've been thinking of 'giving back' to the Internet for teaching me
all of this crap by recording all the dental knowledge that I have
gleaned from SMD and DT, and updating some topics in the Wikipedia
(http://www.wikipedia.com)

The problem with forums - and wikipedia IS a forum - is that EVERYBODY
can write his mess there. But truth cannot be defined by majority or
vote.

This is why I maintain a web-site : only for facts which are based on
sound science. And no-one can mess it up.

Adenosine, if you have some good material, would you please allow me
to put that on my site ?

Thank you,

This is unlike SMD where we learn only the truths!
