The 4 top teeth on both sides have been extracted and the top temp partial
is in.  I was doing fine until I ran out of the Benzodent samples the
dentist gave me for sore spots. I couldn't find the product in any drug or
grocery stores in the area, so I got some Orajel Denture Plus.  It burned
the hell out of my gums and I ended up with something like a dry socket at
an extraction site that was almost healed.

Live and learn.  It finally dawned on me that my drug store could probably
order the Benzodent for me - so I asked them and they had it in my hands in
24 hours.

Meantime, I'm healing the very painful spot by lining my denture with
petroleum jelly.  Very soothing - and it's almost healed up ..... again.

I get my top perm partial in January, followed closely by a perm partial for
the lower four empty spots which I lost a few years back.

Good plan .........

Thanks, Joel.  I did try another one.  I got some baby teething jel.  I
figured that would be gentle enough.  But by that time, the site was so sore
even the baby teething jel hurt like the dickens. I would have gone back to
the dentist, but it's one of those "no appointment" places and I didn't feel
like sitting for several hours waiting to be seen.  It's worth it, though.
I'm getting top temp and perm partial, plus extractions, plus bottom partial
for about $1,500.  I checked them out, and there are no complaints against
them.

I'm much better now, thanks for your response.

It's a british saying, I think that most micheals in the UK are micheals
and not michaels - but I could be wrong of course.

IOW, I don't know.

You need a denture adjustment. It should not cause pain. I have done
many thousands just like you described.

Does NO APPOINTMENT also mean no adjustment? I think so.

Here is your ticket: "What time does the place open as I would like to
be the FIRST patient ...... 7:30a ? 8:00a?

Just tell me!
