Cosmetic Dentistry -- Choice of country

Hi, I'm thinking about having some cosmetic dentry done, perhaps whitening,
maybe a vaneer, etc...

Anyway I was considering the reputations us Brits have for our teeth and
thought that maybe the root ('scuse the pun) of the problem was with our
dentists (this isnt intended as a flame bait post) and that maybe I should
look towards the US or elsewhere in preference of their experiece in
cosmetic dentistry, and perhaps there may be benefits in price reductions
too?

Does anyone have any opinions on this?

Nah, the root of the problem is the system. Americans are willing to
spend an appropriate amount of their hard-earned money on dental care.
The profession follows through by developing sundry high tech
alternatives.

THIS IS TERRIBLE ......

at least there is no Taking The Joel ......

They accused me of taking the Michael..(Michael’s a joke, a piss take
if you like, except when it’s the Minister of Finance.......then
again, maybe then as well) Yeah, I was taking the Micheal out of a
favourite Aussie cricketing legend. Wonder who that could have been?

Gidday...just catching up on a few smaller issues, and tossing in a
couple of jokes. The following is one courtesy of the Minister
responsible for ACC. It was included in her comments in response to
our Editors letter to her, her reply was inadvertently omitted from
her comments that were actually published

"ACC has a range of remedies available to resolve issues with
individual
claimants. Claimants can raise issues arising since 1 February 2003
under
the Code of ACC Claimants' Rights. "

Yaaaahahahahahahahah..............Good one. Anyone else, anyone who
has a grievance going back before then, can get stuffed.

I got a couple of complaints from a couple of Aussies about my gag
‘Gidday Mum.’

They accused me of taking the Michael..(Michael’s a joke, a piss take
if you like, except when it’s the Minister of Finance.......then
again, maybe then as well) Yeah, I was taking the Micheal out of a

All those Boikies waving pro South African flags at the cricket at
Durban last night, have to learn to spell all over again. "South
Africa Reigns." is now "South Africa Rains."
Yaaaaaaahahahahahahah.....good one.

Okay...how about this then..."The Prime Minister, Helen Clark is
considering putting up funds to assist in the lodging of a New Zealand
challenge for the next America’s Cup."

Yaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahahahahh.

She probably doesn’t realise that it isn’t for another three years.
She won’t be around by then. Yaaaaaahahahahahahahah....I like that
one.

What about ACT, the scam smashing, perk busting machine. Biffed out
Donna, but not far enough to ruin the funding she attracts for the
party....now that’s integrity. That’s real integrity.

Yaaaaaaahahahahahahahaha

And the Greens..."Bugger Mable, the Kiwi Greens have boycotted the
Parliamentary, lunch Love. It’z ardly worth goin’. Ya know those hairy
armpits in ball frocks really turn me on. I think we may as well
give...whatziname.....Helga...Heidi.......Helen, a call and take a
rain check.

That might be so John, but I don’t like it. It masks the seafood.
You’d never know if it wuz fresh Luv."

Yeeeeeeeehahahahahahahahaha...phew

I still think though, that the joke of the decade, and one we should
really share with the world, is OSH getting upset by.....wait for
it....wait for it....’Bob The Builder.’ because he wasn’t always safe.
What he did on video or in the little kids books. Geeezzzzz’s, that
really is a classic. It even tops the comment from one of our real
close-up Ministers, that OSH would be policing
brothels....................Yaaaahahahahahahahah....yaaahahahahah.
Bugger!

And there’s always at least one lump, even in the best made porridge.
Here’s the lump in this one.

Well done Lianne Dalzeil, Minister of Immigration.

‘The Columbus Academy.'

Dumping ground for Japanese problem youths.

How did they get in?

Who took a back-hander?

Who is bloody incompetent?

We were lucky this time. They killed one of their own. Get your act
together Minister. Your Department is a disgrace. Too many old farts.
Too many of the ‘Old Girls Club.’ Have a cleanup before it’s too late.

Unfortunately, you are the joke, but no one is laughing.

Check www.bacd.com for cosmetic dentists in the UK.

Most, if not all, of the dentists have completed postgrad training/degrees
in cosmetic or restorative dentistry, either in the UK or USA, and are
committed to further professional training in current and new
techniques/materials.

Cost-wise I doubt you'd see any savings by getting the work done in the US,
particularly once you take into account the travel & accommodation costs.
Worse still, if anything goes wrong you are gonna have one HELL of a trip
back to the dentist to put it right!

Hope this helps!
