No scientific evidence showing any toothbrush to be superior to any other.
The only evidence out there is the studies done by the people trying to sell
it. Independent studies all show that all brushes are equal if used
properly. OTOH, if a powered brush design encourages you to keep it in your
mouth for longer periods of time and more often, then you will get better
results with that particular brush.

Actually that is wrong!
a little internet sluething would tell you otherwise.
I bought the SonicCare about 3 months ago and did my
homework before doing so.
Here is my take on the issue, the Dentist was telling me
that I wasnt brushing and flossing enough and that I was brushing
too hard and causing gum erosion.
I found that for the left side of my mouth that my ability to vibrate
a toothbrush fast but lightly just wasnt up to par.....too much work!
With the SonicCare you wont cause gum erosion unless that is your goal,
it vibrates so fast that you just need to move the brush to cover one tooth
at a time then move on to the next tooth.
As far as research and studies, it is true that using SonicCare or a Braun
toothbrush
will not exceed using a regular toothbrush the proper way.
But using a toothbrush the proper way and for the right amount of time is
no easy breather also.
Remember those pink pills as a kid and having to
brush away the Pink Stain.....most of us are not that tedious about
brushing.
But using a Toothbrush like the SonicCare or Braun helps doing a better job
sooo much easier!
What research does provide is that a SonicCare unlike any other brush
will irrigate and remove debriment down to 3millimeters beyond the reach
of the bristles.......
That wont replace flossing but it is superior action or a comparitive
benefit compared to any other toothbrush.
I did the research , did it recently, went for the SonicCare
and I thought it was an excellent buy.
You know how when you have your teeth cleaned and can feel those sharp
ridges along the
inside of your lower teeth with your tongue.
The SonicCare either maintains that feel(after a cleaning) or can get you
near that again,....its that good.

How can anyone argue with research done on the Internet? Research
done by the manufacturer is always suspect.

I'm just wondering cause a long time braun tries to show the superior of
their rotating system against the sonic one, especial the sonicare. And now
they have an own sonic brush but they (of course) don't say wich of them are
now superior. It's a little bit strange if a company is putting a system for
a long time so down and now they even have it.
Are they trying to get Philips out of the sector with a similar, but not so
good product like their normal rotating system or is this system in fact
better?
Or both systems are equal, who knows?
