Hello all

about 3 years ago I got in a bike accident and lost some front teeth.
I ended up getting the two top incisors replaced with implants, after
first getting a bone graft to beef up the jaw structure.   Anyway all
has been good for the last 3 years, but about 6 months ago I got
elbowed pretty good directly in my left implant.  I was a little
worried at first, but it seemed to be ok and for the next 3 or so
months didn't cause any problems.  Then I broke an arm, and for about
a month I had a really tough time flossing and keeping my implants
clean, as my arm was in a cast.   Right about the time I got my cast
off I noticed the left implant seemed a little loose, but it was still
strong enough to eat with, without feeling any different.   Now it's
about a month later, and it's really loose.  I don't even like
touching it with my tounge, because I can feel it move.  I've been
keeping it really clean, flossing and rinsing with listerine after
every meal, hoping the bone will re-integrate.  it seems to be
improving ever so slightly, but it could just be wishful thinking.  It
definetly seem to be tighter in the morning, but by the end of the day
I've knocked it loose again just from talking etc...

My qustion is, What are my chances of getting this fixed.  The implant
next to it is still perfectly anchored.  Is this going to require a
repeat of the original proceedure, or can they just splint it and hope
the bone re-integrates.

Also I don't have dental insurance

Thanks for any advice.

I think there is a chance that the crown has come loose and the implant
itself is still okay. The original dentist should be able to retighten
the screw in the crown and see if this is the case.
