<
<
Sorry, Johns Hopkins University, but you have -- or had -- a scumbag
pseudoscientist working for you, too.
<
His name is Alan Walker and, as you well know, he has long been
passing himself off as one of the world's leading authorities on
prehistoric teeth.
<
Well, he's as phony as the rest -- members of the Scientific
Establishment -- whose purpose is NOT to pursue truth but
to help cover it up whenever it appears to threaten the ridiculous,
assine theory of the evolution of man.
<
Walker, you see, examined the jawlike area of the very first specimen
of petrified bone I had discovered between anthracite veins back
in 1981.
<
Here's the specimen as I found it.
<
> http://www.edconrad.com/ebay/Smith1/first.jpg
<
And this is a photo of what Alan Walker was asked to examine,
an inclusion in the jawlike area that was broken off from the main
piece.
<.
<
Walker, examining it personally, first emphatically stated that
it definitely wasn't a petrified tooth (certainly not a petrified
premolar which indeed it is, having been scientifically proven
as such later).
<
In any event, Alan Walker began doddling on a notepad to give
me an idea of what a petrified tooth should look like.
<
When he was told that his explanation was ridiculous, Allan
Walker became nervous as a cat and finally blurted out: "You
should have more than just ONE tooth."
<
I might add that I really got a cordial reception when visiting Allan
Walker at Johns Hopkins, paying the visit only after his very
reluctant invitation.
<
I had pulled into the parking lot and was stopped by the attendant
who first wanted to confirm that I had an appointment with Allan
Walker before allowing me onto the lot.
<
The parking attendant hung up the phone and told me that Alan Walker
would be right down, then -- surprisingly -- ordered me to back up and
double-park on the street until he arrived.
<
Imagine, this is where Allan Walker performed his fraudulent
examination -- on the street outside his office.
<
=============================================
<
Here's the result of the infrared scan that later was performed on
the inclusion in the jawlike area, a test that was suggested by world
famous bone expert Wilton Krogman, author of "The Human
Skeleton in Forensic Medicine.":.
<
>> http://www.edconrad.com/ebay/coalbones/graph.gif
<
This is what American Medical Laboratories stated in its official
report:
<
>> http://edconrad.com/ebay/Newpix3/result.gif
<
It meant that the inclusion in the jaw-like area was neither rock
nor concretion but part of something that once lived.
<
When the scan was interpreted later, this fact was confirmed.

Yes. The safest thing to do is speak in soothing tones, move calmly
towards the exit, make no sudden moves, and never, ever let him get
between you and the door.

Let me guess: clouds have silver linings, coffee looks like a cloud,
so a coffee lining removes a silver lining. That is the best I can do
without my morning coffee, which I take orally, btw.

Ed, get help.
The report says there is some phosphate present, and it is "compatible
with" being tooth or bone. And from that, you jump to "It's a human
pre-molar". Even if it really is a tooth (note: "compatible" doesn't
mean "is", it only means "not definitely ruled out"), were you under
the impression that there were no vertebrates (other than your
imaginary humans) running around the Carboniferous?
Not that this will make any impression on Ed.....

Lots of rocks were part of something that once lived. Coal, for
example. Or chalk. How does that prove that it's a tooth (or a human
tooth)?

I guess ... but that's a loose definition of a rock. A pice of coal is
not a rock!

Sorry, I didn't have my pedantry goggles on. Strictly speaking, I
think it would qualify as a kind of rock. From the OED:
f. Geol. One of the stratified or igneous mineral constituents of
which the earth's crust is composed, including sands, clays, etc.
Coal is (1) stratified (2) classified as a mineral (by the
US Geological Survey, at least) and (3) in the earth's crust. I'll
call it a rock.
