I recently had another tooth added to a metal upper denture to fill a
gap.Now when I bite normally I bite on the material which was attached to
the denture for securing the tooth and this feels uncomfortable.Should I go
back to my dentist or is this how it will be in the circumstances.

As one patient to another, I advise you to go back to the dentist.
He/she expects patients to return under the circumstances you
describe. They usually say: if you have any problems just make an
appointment. Next time you see the dentist, mention on the way out: If
I have any problems with the denture I'll let you know. He/she will
usually say: Yes, call the desk if anything bothers you. I wouldn't
let too much time pass before returning. Good luck.
