I don't see the point of paying some community college dropout $80 to
scrape tartar off my teeth.  Where could I pick up a scaler to do the
job myself?

Actually they graduated and are often young women
with steady hands , hopefully. Of course, you can go to
the community college and have a student do it
for 30 dollars.

Still I get your point.
