No way to tell for sure. But unless you decay very quickly, it would
be unusual to decay in that short time. Keep it clean. If you begin to
have pain, have it looked at sooner. I think from your description that
it is unlikely to be serious damage.

Thanks, Steve. You always come through with an answer. I appreciate
it. I will start using the prevident toothpaste just in case. It
doesn't hurt now. It only hurt while it was happening. I don't think
it's serious either. It doesn't seem to be very deep. I think it
would hurt if it were deep into the tooth.
