I can tell you this... Patients discriminate against foreign practitioners, even
though the average patient could care less where their MD or dentist went to
school.  Part of the reason for this is certainly cultural, but I can tell you
that I "discriminate" because so many foreign practitioners lack adequate
English skills.  If an MD or dentist doesn't understand 100% of what a patient
is saying, and the patient can't understand 100% of what the practitioner is
saying, then you have a setup for disaster.

That said, one dental associate who sometimes draws my case is Israeli, I have
no problems with his English or his dentistry.

Good!  But it was not my intention to single out you in particular or even
dentists in general.

There are all kinds of "discrimination", most of them perfectly legitimate and
understandable.  You "discriminate" every time you go shopping.  You first
choose one store over another, and then one product over another, all for
reasons that are entirely your own.  "Discrimination" is a word that has somehow
gotten a bad rap in our politically correct society.

I could never understand why English deficient doctors do not take classes
in order to improve their communication skills.
