Periodontal disease is really a disease of aging.   Children don't get
periodontal disease.   Young animals don't get periodontal disease.

The progression of periodontal disease in animals is determined by
their life expectancy.

I don't know when dental researchers are going to understand this.

WHICH ARTICLE TO YOU WANT TO DISCUSS?

the third article talks about smoking as a risk factor.  Why are
children smoking?

Not exactly on the mark with the thread, but almost all
of my perio cases are indeed smokers.

It's more than a mere 'risk factor'.
