Does 15 lbs seem like a reasonable weight loss for a 165lb. 5'8" man who
was just put on diuretics for CHF due to mitral and tricuspid
regurgitation? There was enough edema for fluid to show up in the lungs
on CT.

Thank you!

It is possible.  Reasonableness would depend on your physical exam.

Equivalent to about 7.5 U.S. quarts of water. Certainly possible, but you
are the best judge of  "reasonable". Is 165lb your original healthy weight,
or your edemic weight?
