Dear Dr Chung, I decided to go on your OMER diet for one year and want you to know the results. Unfortunately I ballooned from 115 pounds and WHR of .75 to 180 pounds and a WHR of 1.1. I also now have T2 diabetes, metabolic syndrome, and am quite obese. I did exactly as you said except that I used the obviously correct measure of an omer, which is roughly two quarts of food per day. (The two pound thing can't be right, but I'm sure it's just an honest error on your part and that you'll eventually aknowledge this because you would never hurt your patients by giving flawed advice, even if you were shown to be wrong, because you are a man of such high integrity and compassion.) Anyway, it was really hard to eat a whole omer every day and I lost my hunger most of the time trying to eat so much. But you are a man both of science and God so I held steady to it. If God wants us to eat an omer a day then that's what I shall do, so I'm going to stick with this diet as long as it takes, even if it kills me (that would just be God's will).
