My cardiologist prescribed Metoprolol (tartrate) 50mg to take on my airplane
flight, which is 4 hours long. He said that if I take that, it will stop my
PSVT. Walgreen's said it takes about 20 minutes to work. I didn't want to
tie him up on the phone too much, I was just happy that he prescribed
something.

Questions:

1. Will it help convert my PSVT if I just take a pill as needed (when I'm
having a PSVT)?

2. Is it safe to take that on an airplane? (I've never had it before!) I
mean, how common are allergic reactions and such?

3. Can I still have Adenosine after taking Metroprolol? I think my
cardiologist said "yes".

4. I have AVQRNT or something like that. I'm safe to go for a few hours at
250 beats per minute, right? My cardiologist and EP said "yes", but man, its
hard to believe my heart can keep going like that!

Eventually I'm going to have rf ablation but not right not.

Thanks!

With the blessings of your cardiologist and EP, yes.

You are welcome, Richard :-)
