One person was of the opinion:

"Then you know firsthand that folks with paranoid schizophrenia would
shun usenet and other public forums, would be unable to pray, and would
decompensate when threatened by others."

Incorrect, if one had more then a generic survey course and rounds
experience with this diagnosis one would know it is not a valid nor
complete observation.

If you wish, a descriptive list of symptoms of this diagnosis can be
posted in support of the flaws in the above opinion.

God bless.

Mental illness cannot be reliably diagnosed over the internet, even by
psychiatrists.

I know of no reason to think persons with schizophrenia are unable to
pray.

It has been observed that those suffering from paranoid schizophrenia
do not trust GOD enough to pray to HIM.

First of all, the term "paranoid schizophrenia" is rarely used by
psychiatrists who specialize in schizophrenia.  Rather, they simply
refer to "schizophrenia."  If you don't believe me, check out
scholarly articles in the field.  A good place to start would be the
database on Schizophrenia Research Forum, www.schizophreniaforum.org.

Second, your suggestion that schizophrenics cannot pray, or do not
trust God, is simply untrue, unsubstantiated, not to mention
unprovable.  "It has been observed" -- by whom, when, where, and how?

Correct.

However, they would know it to mean schizophenia with paranoia (or
paranoid delusions).

Moreover, this is the diagnosis being erroneously applied to openly
Christian folks by anti-christians.

No need.

The lack (or loss) of trust in others is the main feature of paranoid
delusions.

Trust in GOD, Who is otherworldly, is required for prayer.

"It has been observed" -- by whom, when, where, and how?

By many, often, everywhere, and by perception.

May GOD bless you in HIS mighty way making you healthier (hungrier)
than ever.

The idea of diagnosing schizophrenia over the internet strikes me as
ridiculous, even if these people were qualified to diagnose
schizophrenia, which so far as I know they aren't.

All I can tell you is that my sister prays all the time.  She also
suffers from paranoid delusions at times.

If there have been studies done on this issue, please cite them.

It saddens me to read about this.  It is unlikely that you have been
observing your sister openly praying for GOD to bless others while
suffering from a paranoid delusion.

May GOD bless your sister in HIS mighty way making her healthier
(hungrier) than ever.

Studies on this issue is inherently problematic because folks
suffering from paranoid delusions will understandably not be amenable
to participation in studies which requires trust in order for informed
consent to be given.

...which explains your 24/7 presence on Usenet.

You are welcome, Marilyn :-)

Redirecting all thanks and praises to GOD so that we will both be that
much more blessed (hungrier).

Please let your sister know that when GOD blesses her, she will feel
hungrier.

Incorrect, reveals all the more a lack of experience and knowledge about
the topic.  All the more reason as in some other areas of medicine and
science to ignore with complete peace of mind the source.

As in the trash science of the two pound diet, this opinion is formed on
working backwards from a wholly invented agenda to pick and choose
notions that fit the agenda.  Truth not agenda is always best.

Upon request a description of the condition in question can be posted
which will put all such opinion and inventions to rest.

God bless.
