I amde a new post on 25th July: 'What is stable angine?', and received
a copy by email.  The post has not yet apeared.  Is there any reason
for this?  I can find no way of contacting you other than this, and I
can't find antything which tells me if this is a moderated group or
not.  Sorry I'm very much a beginner.

My posting above appeared within seconds so I am assuming this is an
unmoderated group.  But I still don't know what happened to my
original posting.  I shall have to try again.

That happened to me once.  Just post it again.  This group is
unmoderated.

You are correct. It is unmoderated. Such is the case for most usenet
groups.

It showed up in less than an hour after you posted it.

It appears you're posting on Google. You'll need patients with them.

If you want a moderated group go to yahoo groups. The problem
with Yahoo groups is that they are moderated. Group owners
sometimes censor views counter to their own as is their right.
And here on the Usenet the groups aren't moderated so
you get the full blown lunatics to eliminate.
Blocking software can stop this source of noise. Though
it wouldn't work if you go the cheap route and post
to the Usenet via Google. If you want the full
Usenet experience, you'll need to pay about 10 dollars
a month for a special provider. Such services make
you postings much less tracable so you don't crud
up your email. The services will provide forums with
video and photo groups besides the text based forum.

This is not a moderated group. If there were  a moderated group, many of
the posts would not be permitted.

If the post doesn't appear, try again. Obviously, some things are
getting through.
