Thanks ,I have spoken to the GP to day and he has stopped the aspirin
,although I would have thought that it was a good idea to continue, but he
should know what's best.I get so confused sometimes, what with the blood
test several times a week to get the warfarin level correct, ether at the
hospital or the surgery.plus having to take medication for arthritis and
prostate.I picked up 15 packets of tablets today from the pharmacy, which I
did not pay a penny for. Thank God for the National Health Service here in
UK.....cas

Would suggest you get a second opinion from a cardiologist about
whether the aspirin should be stopped in your particular case.

I am on either coumadin and aspirin:
-coumadin since years, because of intermittent afib
-aspirin since months, after MI (Myocardial Infarction)
(and notice that the first 30 days after MI I was on plavix too ...)
I guess it's just a matter of medical evaluation of risk/benefit.
