I'm male, 52. I exercise 2-3 times a week, and have done so for the
past 6 or more years. Due to a couple of recent blood tests that
showed bad numbers, the doctor put me on Crestor. 3 months later, I
had blood tests again. He was astounded and pleased as to how good
the results were. (I'd post them, but I don't remember where they are.
Obviously, the tests weren't for memory, or I'd flunk.)
I do recall that the LDL decreased a lot, and the HDL went up as well.
Trigylcerides were good results too.
My question is this: will I always have to be on Crestor or some
other medicine like this the rest of my life? I have HBP and am
resigned to taking that forever, but I'd like to know what other
people think and/or their experiences.

Many folks stop needing lipid lowering **and** BP medications when they
become lean and trim after losing all their visceral adipose tissue
(VAT).
