I'm a painter and in 2000 I sat down to meditate on the heart because
I wanted to let go of old resentments, from childhood to the present.
Well, after about a minute I decided I had to see an image. I got
up and found a small canvas and painted my first heart
At first it looked, well, uninspired. Not much to it. So I did
what I call "watching my hand" that is I don't think or plan, I just
paint. I try to be open. I called the painting that resulted
"Compassion." The interesting thing is that one painting has never
photographed well. As if it can't be reproduced!
I then went on to paint about 30 more hearts using colors from
feng shui with titles such as Wisdom & Understanding, Joy, Loving
Desire, and Treasure.
When 9/11 happened I tried to get the heart out there, creating
notecards.
Then a friend had heart surgery. I gave him two prints and he
hung them in their "quiet room." He also gave prints to his
cardiologist and his team.
Evenually I created a  website to show the paintings, include
heart quotes, and offer prints of the heart. These beautiful paintings
of the Heart are I hope supportive and empowering to any recovering
heart patient.
If you'd like to see the heart paintings - that remind of our
inner strength - please visit my web site at www.tpoth.com (which
stands for The Power of the Heart).
I'm also working on a calendar that will be ready soon. On the menu
click on Heart Prints because you'll see more there and click again on
each heart for a larger view.

As for knowing who are the very elect, these you will know by the
unconditional love they have for everyone including their enemies
(Matthew 5:44-45, 1 Corinthians 13:3, James 2:14-17).
