I am 60 years of age. Had triple CABG in May 2004. Have laboured
breathing since June 2004. Of late it is more troublesome. Dr.
check-ups say I am ok and it is not related to CAD. Have relief when
drink or eat something. In other words, when something passs down the
throat. BP and sugar is normal. However LDL checked today is 153.
Cud I be developing a repeat CAD? Do not have the shooting pain
associated with earlier angina. Do have shortness of breath and
sometimes mild heaviness in chest. This happens in the evenings around
9 pm and passes around midnight. Also take Ranitin 150 and lorazpam 2
mg for sleep. Take ecosprin 75 mg. Have increased statin on doctors
advice to 20 mg last week. Am I heading for another complication ?
Many friends say TMT not advisable, is it a must ? Am able to walk
40/45 minutes in the mornings without any difficulty. My pace is
medium to brisk.
Do experience severe gas problem in the evening due to some of the
foods I take. Slowly trying to narrow down to food that does not cause
discomfort like cabbage, cauliflower, lentils and sout items, potatoes
and even chicken. Eat fist daily. Take oats with wheat bran and wheat
germ around 9 pm. Difficulty always passes by around midnight. This
is an SOS can anyone help and guide.

If your only blood sugar screening is a fasting fbg, you could be
diabetic (I don't know if you are already diagnosed) and still have
normal fastings. Taking readings with a home meter one and two hours
after eating will tell you which foods are troublesome, if any, and will
let you know if the fbg is missing a problem.
However LDL checked today is 153.

Perhaps you should try not eating the snack you eat at night now. Maybe
try some nut butter, less starch? A lot of folks with GERD and IBS find
that reducing starch consumption offers a lot of relief.
I don't think anyone here can tell you the status of your arteries by
reading your posts.

Possible. Would suggest you seek a referral to consult with a
cardiologist.

You remain at risk for recurrence of occlusive CAD while your LDL is
not below 100 mg/dL.

The gas problem often occurs for folks with significant visceral
adiposity.
As Susan was quick to suspect impaired glucose tolerance (IGT) which
she believe is frank diabetes, you may have enough visceral adiposity
to cause this.
What to do ?

May GOD heal your heart, dear neighbor Mohan.
