Exactly what connection there is between global earthquake advisories and rec.food.cooking recipe swapping is unknown; the same goes for folks who come to the diabetes or cardiology NGs looking to correspond with others who have similar conditions and concerns. Dr. Chung has consistently (and in my opinion, cavalierly) refused to heed the requests of numerous posters to cease and desist - brushing them off with his pious verbal flipoff "please forgive me for my iniquities", and then proceeding to display appallingly bad netiquette by repeating the offense time and time again. As has been mentioned and archived here, Dr. Chung has used no less than16 e-mail addresses; some have been banned by Google Groups for TOS abuses, and yet he persists. He appears to feel he is on some sort of mission; when people take him to task for crossposting and changing his numerous e-mail addresses with the deliberate intention (IMO) of escaping the abundance of killfiles he inhabits, he views this as a challenge to his Christianity (a wildly paranoid assumption), and so the snowball continues. I can't speak for others, but I DO NOT have a problem with whatever he chooses to believe in, be it Jesus or Satan or the Easter Bunny or whatever (my family is RC, but I got over it when I reached puberty). However, when he FORCES me (et al.) to deal with his more-than-slightly warped take on Christanity by wallpapering NGs I happen to enjoy reading with his rants, I DO have a problem with it.
