Hi,

I don't drink very often but the last 4 times I have, after I go to bed
I wake up an hour or so later and my heart is beating very fast, twice
pretty bad tachychardia.   Two of the times I only drank a few drinks.
I do have thyroid problems but I am very stable at the moment and
can't imagine that causing any of this.   Anynone else experience this?

Thanks,

James.

Yes, the alcohol could be causing your dysrhythmias.  Would suggest you
seek a referral to consult with a cardiologist for this and all the
possible other causes.

alcohol itself will cause atrial fibrillation (amnarrhythmia with rate
may be more than 100 beat per-minute). Hyperthyroidism also may cause
tachycaradia or even atrial fibrillation also.
