I had my gallblader out in Aug. of 2005. After the surgery, it was
found that I also had a common bile duct disorder. So, since Dec. of
2005 I've been getting pain medication. At first, I took Lortab
7.5/500, but now I take Norco 10/325 and Xanax. Currently, I get 120
pills a month plus the Xanax. I also take Atenolol for my heart and
lexapro for depression.
Besides taking away my pain, the Norco also seems to relax me. I also
have a heart problem (SVT-Rapid Pulse), and the Norco helps me forget
all my fears. I'm worried that my doctor might cut me off soon.
1. Can stopping Norco 10/325 (5x daily) kill you?
2. Is taking Xanax (6mg) with Norco a bad idea?
3. What is a "good" dose of Hydro if you just want to forget it all?
4. Can Xanax and Norco mess with the heart?
I don't have a blockage in my heart, or aything like that, just a rapid
pulse. I've had an angio and cardiac MRI because of chest pains, but
that was normal. They did the new MRI, where they use contrast to
detect damage, and there was none. However, my heart is on the big side
of normal. Also, I'm 280lbs, 6' 4''.
Thanks.

Abrupt cessation of a narcotic can cause a great deal of discomfort.

The combination can cause a lot of somnolence and lethargy.

This will vary.

Typically not.

You might be 100 lbs heavier than optimal (lean and trim). Obese folks
tend to have metabolic syndrome (MetS) which can cause chest pain
(variant angina) from endothelial dysfunction. Would suggest you ask
your doctor about supervising your use of the 2PD-OMER Approach to lose
weight safely and permanently:
