This is what I do  every day.  Any weakness obvious or is this folly.
Should I get my affairs  in order?  BP 140/90  LDL 150 if lucky hdl 70
ish,  Still Cabg 4 years ago lingers in the back of my mind.

Folly  seems to resonate with me but not in a negative way.   No
prescribed  drugs. Age 58 and counting. I do not like allopaths.

Both your BP and LDL seem a little high, but IIRC you don't react well to
statins. There any many types of BP lowering drugs out there. Some quite
simple - such as diuretics.

I get tested at least once a year with either a stress echo or a necular
stress test.

Your not given your height and weight suggests that you are not lean &
trim.

Becoming lean & trim helps most people to reduce their blood pressure
and cholesterol even to the point of coming off all medications and
supplements.

Bill, I don't know what some of those things are, or what's actually in the
bottles. A few comments anyway:

Drop the Folic acid and probably the Heart Multiple assuming it contains
folic acic, vitamins 6 1nd 12. The evidence is pretty clear now that those
are bad for heart disease, not good.

You should be under an MD's care for blood pressure. You don't want the
heart disease to worsen, and you don't want a stroke. No homeopath can help
with that...

Weight and exercise level ok?

Drop the Folic etc sure is a step change in the use of supplements.  I
wonder  what else needs to be looked at?

I   weigh 190 Lbs.  at 5 foot ten inches.  I exercise  40 minutes every
day doing Tai Chi and Tai Chi Sword with warm ups.  Since losing muscle
mass about 22 % strength has fallen off but is coming back.  I also walk
about 1/2 hour each day and sometimes bike too.  Sometimes I just stand
for 20 minutes  without moving.  AND the garden is starting to call my
name.

Tai Chi Sword is about 6 minutes and is sort of like Tai Chi but holding
on to a forty inch baseball bat.

Fun Stuff!

You are my height except 50 lbs heavier.

The LORD helped me lose 25 lbs by teaching me the 2PD-OMER Approach.
Then, HE gave me the strength to bench press 245 lbs and the stamina to
run the length of the Silver Comet Trail from Mableton to Rockmart and
back (all day):

Perhaps HE will help you too if you ask HIM.

So I am 50 Lb overweight or are you 50 Lb. underweight.  Perhaps some
other weight 20/30 for instance.   My calfs are about 15 inches down
from 18 due to my reponse to  Lipitor 80.  Granted my running days are
just about gone.  Think of my body type as sort of like Popeye with
large calfs and large forearms.  I can do a single leg deep knee bend. I
can also yield rather well to help folks go where they want.  A martial
thing useful even when food shopping. ;))

Some folks seek lean and trim I went with strong and flexible.  I
practiced many years to get here still I know what CABG  means.
BTW I sort of eat less than 2 lbs .  Dad is 82 but Mom and sisters and
brothers all are dead or seeing cardio folks.

Bill

PS Found A funny MPEG of a Eskimo fishing that  had a narrator
speaking about the virtues of Omega 3 oils.  The fellow get a strike and
starts pulling in the wonderful deep sea fish alas only to be eaten by a
killer whale.
My Gmail address works .  I can send it as an attachment if desired or
perhaps you can find it  some other way.

If your waistline is more than 35 inches, you are not as lean&trim as
you should optimally be for your desire to be on minimal prescriptional
medications while lowering risks for CVD progression.

OTOH if it takes someone two hours and 49 minutes to run a half marathon
(13.1 miles) that person may not be as fit as he thinks he is.  My best
half marathon time was 1:45 when I was sixty years old.  :-)

The Silver Comet Trail round trip from Mableton to Rockmart and back is
about 38 miles, build on abandoned railroad right of way which means
little or no steep grades.  Many people who have built up their
endurance can cover that in ten to twelve hours, walking at pretty much
normal pace.

Will be available to debunk stuff as interest and time allow.

Running remains an opportunity for me to share the LORD with all those
who ask what "Follow me to Paradise" written on the back of my shirt
means :-)

And, when there is a lull in folks asking, it would be my choice to
sing praise songs glorifying the LORD while running otherwise I would
run twice as fast.

All praise and glory belong to the LORD, now and forevermore.

You might want to eat a couple of ounces of fish instead of fish oil
capsules.
