Verapamil Dosing

Hello,

Due to a pharmacy mistake, I took a dose of verapamil that was 3X what
I was supose to take for migrane prevention.

I suffer from severe, chronic, progressive muscle pain and weekeness.
The verapamil at the higher dose 120mg imediate release release a lot
of the muscle weekend and mail, presumable from the additional blood
flow to the legs.

I am talking to my MD about this us tuesday, but I am wondering if
anyone can give me some comments on the saftey or lack of, in taking a
higher dose, like 120mg tid.

Thanks in advance,

jamie

I've been taking 120mg extended release once a day for five years now
without any problems but I think it's not advisable to stop taking the
drug all at once.  Also not to break any time release capsule or pill
in half because of the sudden release of a strong dose rather than a
coated slow release.
