My 72 year old father had open surgery to repair an anerism on his
Aorta 8 days ago. Initially he seemed to do well, but now seems to have
gone back a little - he is displaying the following symptoms:-

1. Constipation - he had to have enema to clear his bowels - 7 days
after surgery
2. Lack of Appetite
3.Nauesa and Sickness
4. Exhaustion.

We were warned that he would feel ill for a while after this surgery -
but can anyone advise:-

are the above symptoms typical or to be expected ?

Do any of them indicate surgery has not been succesful ?

No.

No.

Would suggest that you have your father inform his doctor(s) about his
new symptoms.

Would be more than happy to "glow" and chat about this and other things
like cardiology, diabetes and nutrition that interest those following
