EKG's

Dear S.M.C,

If possible, can someone look at these EKG's for me:

My local doctors are giving me a hard time about prescribing nitroglycerin
for my chest pain. My local doctors feel my problems are anxiety related
and my EKG's are a normal variant. However, Dr. Chung (whom I've been told
is one of the best), feels I may have variant angina. Can anyone else
comment?

I appreciate all the kindness and support and thank Dr. Chung for is advice
and wisdom in the area of cardiology. I will be speaking with my family
doctor soon, but she doesn't read EKG's and goes by the local cardiologists
in my area.

My story can be read here:

You don't believe the many doctors who have tested and examined you yet
you believe a doctor who has diagnosed you online? He's "one of the
best"?!

Have you tried any anti-anxiety medication to see if it helps your
symptoms at all?

Isn't Dr. Chung extremely knowledgable?

Yes, I've tried anti-anxiety medication. But there is still concern
regarding my EKG.

Thanks,

Not to worry.  The paramedics will have it with them when they check on
you.

Per our phone conversations, the doctors at Cleveland Clinic who have
examined you, disagree with your local doctors.

It is likely that your chest pains are arising from variant angina.

(The LORD is the infinitely better cardiologist :-)

There will be those who can although it will be doubtful whether they
will be helpful. Telling you that this is all in your head is not going
to be helpful while you have metabolic syndrome (MetS).

All praises belong to the LORD, Whom I love with all my being :-)

It would be wise for you to find a new primary doctor, preferably one
who is comfortable with reading EKGs (ie one board-certified in internal
medicine).

It's a waiting game...

I've been having pain on and off today. But I am waiting for one of the
attacks that wakes me up at night.
Wish me the best.

Thank you,

Nigel

If any last longer than 20 minutes, it would be wise to call 911

The ones that happen during the day are more likely to be helpful for
documentation.  The paramedics will likely be more on their toes during
the day.

You remain in my prayers, dear Nigel whom I love, in Jesus' name.
