Is there a test to determine if a stroke occurred several years ago?

Can anyone tell me if there is a test that can be done to determine
whether or not somebody did indeed suffer a minor stroke, that may have
occurred a few years back.  Thanks in advance for your time and effort
regarding this question.

There are many tests that might show if there were some amount of tissue
damage - MRI, CT scan, injecting dye via the arm, just seeing how a person
walks etc. You should see a neurologist.

Here is a more complete list. One generally looks for risk factors which
would be present today as they were years ago if it were a stroke. Serial
changes in those test parameters such as MRI with any new symptoms is also
helpful.

searching hours and hours at various web pages and have not been able
to find the information I had been looking for.  I am truely grateful
