This is one of the more bizarre bureaucratic snafus about Katrina yet. Tons and tons of food being or about it be burned for absurd reasons. I don't think it serves any purpose to discuss it here. Bureaucratica Just saw folks in Texas driving at about 5 miles an hour on a six lane highway to evacuate. Seems Gas trucks had to be called in as folks were running out and overheating etc. But 5 feet away an empty six lane highway was empty. Empty twice on purpose this in 95 degree temps.
