I am scheduled form a stress test in several weeks. I am taking 50mg
altenolol.
Should I stop the b-blocker for a few days prior to stress test to get a
neutral reading?

You should talk to your Dr. - the one ordering the test. It will probably
depend on why you are taking the drug and what kind of test. I know that for
some kinds of nuclear stress tests they discontinue Coreg for me.

please check with your doc about this...but usually yes...as betas can
prevent you from elevating your heartrate...
but each doc has different ideas....

You should ask your cardiologist for his/her preference.
