Yes.

Just as likely.

A 3 cm aneurysm is unlikely to "burst."

There can be but usually not except in the middle of the dissection.

It would be wise to have the size checked annually.

hello robert,
i had an aortic aneurysm which progressed to 6.0 cm before surgery was
performed. i was told that the first symptom normally experienced was
death. mine was corrected with a dacron graft and replacement of my aortic
valve approximately nine years ago. the surgery was not near as bad an
experience as i had imagined and healing went well. was back towork in six
weeks and this included a necessary second open heart surgery three weeks
after the first due to blood seeping through my graft and causing tamponade
whis was very scary. but all went well and i have no regrets and am very
appreciative of my doctors skills insaving my life.
