Went to the neurologist, and now my diastolic skyrockets while standing up,
and my systolic goes up pretty significantly, too--well beyond normal
limits. The doc says that it might be my small dose effexor (37.5 mg, doubt
it, have had this problem before effexor), or autonomic neuropathy. He'd
love to have me on clonidine, but that drug gave me intractable diarrhea in
the past. I've been taking my standing BP at home now, and this is not a
one day thing. This is the worst it's ever been. I now seem have a
permanent pain in the back of my head, and my vision is kind of blurry. My
sitting and lying BP's are fine (within normal limits, even quite low
sometimes) for the most part, just standing ones stink... I'm on 100mg
inspra for primary hyperaldosteronism. Any advice, thoughts, opinions?
Thanks,
Mike

Would suggest you inquire about a surgical cure for the primary
hyperaldosteronism.
