In two years, I haave dropped 55-60 pounds. Still my heart function has not
improved. I have a BMI of  31. Just how obese is that? I'm 6-5 and 266
pounds - about what I weighed in high school. Is it realistic to lose more.
And if I do, will I feel better?

There are many reasons for decreased heart function.  For example,
decreased heart function from heart attacks is largely irreversible.

Not optimal.

Your "ideal" weight may very well be 185 lbs.

> And if I do, will I feel better?

You would be carrying 81 lbs less. Most folks carrying around 81 lbs of
camping gear on their backs feel better when they put it down.
