No one wanted to pay for his secret Siamese Steak Tartar recipe.  I
think that people had trouble with the part about swinging a cat's head

There's more meat on a good, plump Maine coon or American
shorthair, anyway.

As long as you make sure all that damn hair is burned off - I hate
coughing up hair balls after a meal.

Not a prob if they're skinned first.  No sense
wasting a perfectly good, proper traditional
American-style banjo head.

Yup.  One of my old mail order catalogues (Liberty
Banjo Co.) used to sell bottles of Kodak film developer
"to remove the nipples from female cat skins" when
making them into banjo heads.

Other options are goat and calf skin.  Cat hide
is thinner, gives a sharper attack.  It's also
more available, and hence a lot cheaper.
