How fast does a salt free diet reduce blood pressure?

I know my mileage will vary...
but looking for typical, cross sectional responses.

Are there short term effects in raising BP with a pretty heavy salt intake?

Thanks.

A sodium-free diet is practically impossible.

It is not advisable.

Many thanks, much praise, and all the glory to GOD for His compelling
you to unwittingly rebuke yourself:

May we, who are Jesus' disciples (either Jew or gentile), continue to
be mindful of WDJW by rebuking you at each GOD-given opportunity as
GOD desires thereby being the salt in this world:

I mean, what is the correlation between salt intake and blood pressure?

When "they" came up with the advice of reducing salt, what was the basis of
their advice?

When you, as a doctor, have your patients ruduce their salt intake, what
have you found to happen?
Is the effect large, moderate, or ??

Positive.

Increase sodium intake --> increase blood pressure.

Physiology.

Lower blood pressure.

> Is the effect large, moderate, or ??

Depends on the size of the decrease in sodium intake.

Upon finding my BP to have gotten much higher than previously
I stopped salting my food as much
and stopped my use of fizzy aspirins and vitamin C.

My BP dropped about 15 pôints,
both dia and systolic.  The effect was immediate...
