Glad to see you have listened to those in the past who questioned 2
pounds of food for infants and small children. Hopefully there were
no parents who followed you advice - of course since you are not a
pediatrician, hopefully they did not

The Bible, in Exodus, which you cite and use as the basis for the 2PD,
says:
"This is the thing which the LORD has commanded: ‘Let every man gather
it according to each one’s need, one omer for each person, according
to the number of persons; let every man take for those who are in his
tent.’” Exodus 16:16
Now children, even a newborn, is a person so either you are mistaken
about children being exempt from the 2PD or the Bible is wrong.
So are you or the Bible wrong?

It remains the optimal amount for adults.

Actually, many parents no longer have obese children after learning
and putting into practice that more than two pounds of food per day
was excessive for their children since it was more than they
themselves required as adults. Application of this knowledge has
allowed them to use better judgment on the right amount for their
children which has been invariably less than 2 pounds to varying
degrees.
Indeed, eating lunch among 10 children ages 5-10 and their moms right
now. Each has gotten about the same amount which is around 10 ounces
apiece but the amount left over varied (children in the 40 yr Exodus
may certainly have eaten less than an omer of manna and indeed it is
written that leftovers would not keep so that we know that there were
leftovers most likely from children). One 7 year old named Jeremiah
wanted more but his mom wisely told him he has only to look at the
other children (some older and taller) to know he has had all he
needed. I concurred and told Jeremiah that being hungry was wonderful
because it meant we were really going to enjoy the next meal that GOD
would provide.
May we, who are Jesus' disciples, continue to rebuke you at each GOD-
given opportunity as GOD desires:

Hunger is wonderful ! ! !
It's how we know what GOD desires, which is what is good.
Yes, hunger is our knowledge of good versus evil that Adam and Eve
paid for with their and our immortal lives.
"Blessed are you who hunger NOW...
... for you will be satisfied." -- LORD Jesus Christ (Luke 6:21)
Amen.
Here is a Spirit-guided exegesis of Luke 6:21 given in hopes of
promoting much greater understanding:

Well, as we learned it was not optimal for children, then we may learn it may
not be optimal for adults who suffer from Dwarfism.

So Moses was wrong and the Bible was wrong and there were a lot of obese
children wandering in the dessert for 40 years.
