The First Council of Nicaea was a committee meeting of a few hundred bishops and they said Jesus was divine, 300 years after he was dead. If all the folks in industrialized countries were to choose to eat less, down to the right amount, there would be so much food left over that deaths from starvation in this world would end. This reminds me of the seven basketfuls of leftovers that Jesus had HIS disciples gather up for the needy after HE fed 5000 men and countless women and children with 5 small barley loaves and 2 small fish that originally made up a small boy's lunch.
