telling everyone that they did not have much time left if they didn't
"know and love Jesus." He was quickly seen to be a mentally ill,
possibly psychotic man.

Note that I am not on it. I went directly to being called Satan when I
asked him for empiric evidence or challenged him on one of his medical
statements.

In the past week on a diabetic Usenet support board, he told a
diabetic to withold his/her medication for a fasting blood sugar of
150. That is bad medical advice. He words his advice, "in our
collective clinical experience," which is misleading. He has no
verifiable medical practice, colleagues or patients at this time,
despite his claims that he is seeing patients. He was fired from his
only post cardiology fellowship job in Florida in 2002 after 88 days
for being "out of step" with the other cardiologists of the group. He
is no longer a Board Certified Internist (that certification was for
ten years, from 1997 to Dec 2007). He still holds Board Certification
in Cardiology and that is also a ten year certificate. That expires
for him in 2010.

He proudly tells everyone on Usenet that he is a "Board Certified
Cardiologist" and a "practising cardiologist" and a "licensed
physician in Georgia" despite having no hospital privileges anywhere.

His medical advice is dangerous. He is dishonest. He says he has
evidence to support his 2PD diet and that over 600,000 people have
maintained ideal weight on it but he says he isn't ready to publish
the info until "God wills it." The 2PD OMER idea is one he got from a
melange of two sources. He often misquotes Bible passages. It is true
that Exodus does mention Moses being told to tell the wanderers in the
desert to take an omer of manna for each person in the tent. In those
times, an omer was a measure of volume or of grain and equivalent to
two liters of volume, not weight Since the Bible passage is Exodus
16:16, Chung takes that as further evidence that all men, women and
children everywhere should eat exactly two pounds of food (16 ounces
per pound) every day. He also claims that he saw an IMAX film about
the Everest Climbers and they only ate two pounds of food per day, so
that is all a body needs. This 2 pounds amount is a fabrication made
up by Chung and a misinterpretation of the biblical omer which is a
measure of volume, not weight.

He calls this the 2 PD OMER (original method of eating reduction)
Approach and claims that he has a 2 million dollar gaurantee for
anyone who can not lose weight by this method. If one does sift
through his website and find the criteria for applying for the prize,
it would be impossible ever to win. One has to declare one's intention
to follow the 2PD diet and be under a physician's care and show that
one has not maintained ideal body weight despite following strictly
the 2PD for five years.

While we all know and agree that most people should eat smaller
portion controlled amounts of healthy foods to lose weight, no one
anywhere (other than Chung) thinks that it must be exactly 2 lbs of
any food per day for every man, woman or child regardless of height,
weight and medical conditions.

Plus, when challenged he has never explained where the 2 million comes
from or is being held other than to claim "an anonymous benefactor."
He did do his cardiology fellowship at Emory and he has made his own
tribute website called, "emorycardiology.com" He claims (via his own
press release on his web site) to have sold the website domain name
"emorycardiology.com" for 1 million dollars last September (a time
when the challenge prize went from 1 million to 2 million dollars. He
claims to remain the "lawful steward" of the website.

He claims to be guided and in direct communication with the Holy
Spirit who tells him what to do and who to convict.

I could go on. He is a mentally ill man who should not remain licensed
to practice medicine for reasons of mental illness, dishonesty and not
practicing up to the minimum community standards.
