I have a 65-year-old relative who has had a couple stint-implanting
sessions, and after the last one they put him on Plavix and low-dose
aspirin, as well as simvastatin. Soon after he developed large red
lesions on the top of his left forearm. They aren't painful, and
don't ooze or anything like that, but look awful.
Well, I guess his medical team assumes this comes from some
sub-cutaneous bleeding that resulted from taking Plavix. Anyway,
he's been off Plavix for a couple months, and the lesions haven't
gone away, or even reduced in size.
Does anyone have any ideas about this? Do these things go away
eventually?

Sub-dermal bleeding from anti-platelet medications can result in
marking the sub-dermal layer in a manner that has permanence much like
how tattoos are permanent.
